Include macOS version, app version/build from About, selected engine/model, the exact error and the steps that caused it. Use synthetic examples; do not send API keys or sensitive documents. We aim to answer within three business days.

Free, Pro and the optional trial

Is there a Free plan? Yes: 10 completed materials per local day, shared across projects. Text, an image/OCR-only result, or one Compare source counts as one material; each completed queue item counts once. Errors and cancellations do not consume completed materials. The app shows the next local reset time. Typing in Free starts with an explicit Translate; a new paste or changed target is a new material.

What does Pro add? Unlimited materials, document translation and Parallel. Engine choice, glossary, your own API keys, shortcuts and the same privacy/encryption protections are also available in Free. No watermarks or intentionally worse Free quality.

Does opening the app start the trial? No. Start the optional seven-day Pro trial deliberately when your selected engine is ready. When it ends, Free remains available. Already-started Pro work can finish/retry under its original grant. A queued document that has not started does not retain Pro access automatically.

Can I read my work after the trial or daily limit? Yes. Existing results, history, search, copying and export stay accessible. A storage error keeps a result candidate for retry rather than turning it into an invented completed result.

Is it a subscription? No Bilargo subscription. Approved Poland pricing is a one-time Pro/Lifetime purchase: PLN 19.99 for the first 30 days from launch, then PLN 39.99. The launch date and other regional price points are not set; the verified offer in the store is authoritative. No active store link is supplied until availability is verified. No direct-sale channel is offered by this release.

Are API credits included? No. The selected provider bills your API account separately. A consumer ChatGPT or DeepL subscription is not an API account.

Restore an existing purchase: use Restore Purchases with the same Apple Account. Existing purchased entitlements are preserved. If access still looks wrong, send the version/build and status/error to support. App Store refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com; your statutory rights are unaffected. See Terms.

Installation, models and offline readiness

Use Apple Silicon and macOS 15 or later. Install the selected Apple language packs or local MLX model before an offline translation. Model configuration/file presence does not prove readiness: follow download, verification and load status. Choose a helper only if it supports glossary correction. See models.

On-device translation and a loopback server stay on this Mac. A server on another LAN computer receives text off this Mac; an API provider receives text under your account. Bilargo does not operate an translation server. Offline mode blocks starting app-managed model downloads and cloud/LAN translation, but not system-managed Apple traffic or other apps, and cannot guarantee cancellation of requests already running.

For failed downloads, check connectivity, free disk space and the displayed error. Do not delete your project/history/usage stores as a troubleshooting shortcut. For a read/write problem, keep the data and retry after resolving storage access or space.

Queue, projects and recovery

Import text, images, supported documents and folders; review natural order, included items and optional subfolders. There is no watched-folder service. Work runs one job at a time across projects. Pause/resume, retry an item or remove it without editing the original file.

Normal projects save encrypted content and state; restored work starts paused, requiring explicit resume. Completed document stages can be retained, while the smallest interrupted stage may run again. Relink missing external input or keep a managed copy when offered. An unreadable project is kept read-only rather than overwritten. Private sessions do not persist content and cannot promise restart recovery. Older checkpoints that never saved a base result cannot reconstruct that missing base without new translation.

Base translation and glossary correction remain separate. Inspect warnings, select the version you want and retry only correction if needed. The selected document version controls the real export. An accounting-save failure keeps the candidate; retry accounting without repeating translation.

Formats and OCR

TXT/Markdown produce text. RTF and PDF use text extraction, not layout round-trip; scanned PDF pages use local OCR and no translated PDF is reconstructed. DOCX, PPTX, ODT, ODP and DRM-free EPUB produce matching package copies with best-effort preservation. SRT, CSV/TSV and XLSX produce new files of the same format; spreadsheets translate only text cells in the columns you select. Speaker notes require the relevant setting. Check Office/EPUB output in its normal reader; well-formed XML is not a guarantee of layout or meaning. CSV, TSV and XLSX can also be imported as glossary entries. See the complete matrix.

OCR may misread small, blurred or unusual text. Check recognized text before relying on translation. Scanner only skips translation. For supported languages and resource choices, use the actual readiness message rather than assuming every model handles every pair.

Shortcuts and permissions

Defaults: ⌘⇧T shows the window; ⌘⇧Y translates selected text with Accessibility permission. Shortcuts can be changed. Permission is used for user-invoked access to selected text, not keylogging. Selected-text replacement, public MCP, Safari and a dedicated DeepL integration are not advertised as delivered here.

Updates and security

The existing support commitment is at least 24 months of updates from purchase and the two most recent major macOS releases, subject to the app’s macOS 15 minimum. Updates for an App Store release are delivered through the App Store. No direct updater is offered here. A Lifetime entitlement does not expire when the support period ends. Reported security issues use the security policy: acknowledgment within three business days and a fix or documented mitigation within 30 days for high-severity issues. No additional legal or compliance assessment is claimed by this documentation update.
