FAQ
Does the app include a free plan?
No. The current product model is:
- download to start a 7-day trial;
- 7-day full-access trial;
- one-time Lifetime purchase.
Does the 7-day trial include all features?
Yes. During the active 7-day trial, all supported features are available.
What happens after the trial ends?
After the trial ends, the app may enter a locked state. To continue using the full functionality, purchase Lifetime access or restore a previous purchase.
Is there a subscription?
No. The current model does not include a recurring subscription.
How do I buy access after the trial?
Use the Buy Lifetime button inside the app.
How do I restore purchases?
Use Restore Purchases in the app. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account that was used for the purchase.
Do you use cloud AI to translate my text?
No. The app is designed to run translation locally on your Mac. It does not send your source text or translated text to our servers or to a cloud AI translation service.
Does the app work offline?
Apple Translate and downloaded AI models are intended to run on-device. Internet access may still be needed for optional model downloads, Apple purchase flows, system-managed language resources, and support links.
Why can the app download AI models if it is called "Offline"?
Optional AI models are downloaded only when you choose to install them. After the model download completes, translation is intended to run locally on your Mac.
Why does the app ask for Accessibility permission?
Accessibility permission is optional and is used only for the shortcut that translates selected text from other apps. The app does not log keystrokes.

DOCX and PPTX file translation
Bilargo Translate can translate .docx and .pptx files while preserving the original document package and formatting as much as possible.
- DOCX: main document text is translated, including paragraphs in tables and numbered lists. Headers, footers, footnotes, and endnotes are included when present.
- PPTX: slide text is translated. Speaker notes are translated only when Translate PowerPoint speaker notes is enabled in Settings.
- Formatting is preserved best-effort per run. If one sentence is split across bold/italic runs, the app translates the full sentence, then distributes the translated text back across the original runs.
- The app does not translate XML attributes, relationships, images, SmartArt/diagram data, or field instructions such as
MERGEFIELD. - The saved result defaults to
original-name-translated-language.docxor.pptxnext to the source file. Use Save As... to choose a different location. - Automatic validation checks that the output can be unzipped and that XML parts are well-formed. For critical documents, also open the file in Word or PowerPoint and review layout before sharing.
